Basking Hearts

Been seeing symbols of love around lately in celebration with the Valentine's day. Indeed, it is the most romantic day for couples out there to celebrate love with each other. But mind you, Valentine's day aren't just for couples but for everyone as well.

And since me and my sister were both occupied on that special day, we chose to reschedule it for us to celerate our love with each other. So much with flowers and sweets, we decided to bask and roam just around Intramuros (Manila).
So serene is the place that peace can really be felt. Undoubtfully, we really had a great time together.
What I wore:

Ombre Top, Thrifted; Shorts, Online
Watch, Vasanova; Bracelet, gift from a friend; Bag, Zara; Wedged Topsiders, On your feet
If I will be asked hat really Valentine's Day is for me, I would say that it's simply happiness brought by the world-turner, LOVE. I guess one might be suffering from a disorder if one could not feel love at all and doesn't even bother himself to celebrate one of the great days of the year. It is not about the flowers, sweets, dates, but it how we express our love to one another. I hope everyone enjoyed Valentine's Day 21414. I know this one's kinda late but Happy Valentine, still.   Thanks for reading The Vogue Tales
Spread love!

PS. Thanks for the flowers and chocolate I received  from my beloved. ❤

The New Hood

I lately got so addicted with the song 23. After some time suffering from LSS, the beat has also affected my mood and for some other reasons, the way I dressed. So I tried adding some sort of a hip-hop thing on what I wore and found this baseball cap that looks so adorable. I tried using it the time when we, my cousins and my sister, fetched my Canadian cousin, who also happened to be my sister from another family.
Just want to highlight this cap which really caught me up holistically. So comfortable was the feeling when I'm with it. No messy hair. Just wore the cap and the rest followed.
Grabbed from Ingstagram
What I wore:

Cap, Forever21; Top, Oxygen; Shorts, Thrifted; Shoes, Online; Watch, Casio

So instead of wearing that typical jacket with the usual hood to put on, do you agree that this cap is now the new hood, YAY OR NAY?

Postcards for the Holidays II

I know this post is so out-of-date (again! Hahaha). Yet i still have to blog about this to share that I just had the best holidays so far with my family.  The photos above were some of the places in my hometown, Albay.
Taken at Kawa-Kawa, Ligao Albay

This is considered by Albayanos as one of the sacred places in town where sacred figures can be found and and it was just named so for having a pan-shaped view at the top of hill. As I've mentioned, it is a hill so, we had to go on a long journey of walking to reach the top. One of the amazing thing I was able to experience there was the ATV, a motorbike used for adventures.
Grabbed from IG taken at Cagsawa, Daraga Albay

This is just one of the famous tourists' spots in Albay featuring the old Cagasawa Church with a perfect view of Mayon Volcano as its background.
A trick taken by one on the guides there. A literal giantic thing, eh? Hahaha
 Grabbed from IG

What I wore:
Hat, Uniqlo; Knitted Outerwear, Jessica Simpson; Top, Thrifted; Shorts, Banana Republic; Footwear, Gap; Watch, Casio

PS. Apology for quite low quality of photos. We just brought a hassle-free camera during the trip to enjoy the experience. :)

'Twas so good to be back home during the holidays and be with the most especial people here on the planet, my family.
Thanks for reading The Vogue Tales, buddies!

Postcards for the Holidays

Forgive me for being so late. My work schedule is just too demanding, the reason that catching up is like "buwis-buhay" for me. And yes, I'm so sorry that i have already abused the holidays. Avail! Hahaha! Just right after I arrived home, I had run to our second house to keep updated with the plans for the vacation.
We ended up travelling almost everywhere here in Bicol. First stop-The Village at  San Bernadino located at Calabanga, Camarines Sur

What I wore:
Tube, H&M; Shorts, Banana Republic; Flip-flop, Ipanema; Summer Hat (from a Bicol Native stall); Watch, Casio
It feels like a complete summer on a December at the village together with my loved ones. Oh, I so love to be home!
I hope you also had a great holiday with love, peace and prosperity!
Wishing you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
And thank you for reading The Vogue Tales. 'til my next post!

Black is Back

Still, I can't believe that I am actually done with school stuff now. It's been a month since I left everything in college for good. Yet, as much as we wanted to graduate soon, it's really true that we'll be missing a lot in school when we left already. Well, I honestly am.
And since I'm reminiscing my college years now, let me share with you what I wore during my creative shot, which will actually be posted on our year book this coming year 2014. Stand-out black as the theme, this outfit was an attempt to copy Avril Lavigne and so I ended up in an extra Edgy-Chic Style.

This is actually my peg. (My apology for the blurred photo, I just can't find a clearer one). I made this as my inspiration for the fact that there is always this rocker side of me amidst my girly image now.
What I'm Wearing:

Black dress, Forever21; Hair Accessory, SM Accessories; Bracelets,Penshoppe (Spikes), SM Accessories (Black-Beaded); Chuck Taylor, Converse
The Black Parade

Make-up by Van Avenilla

I'm on my way now in establishing my career. Thank God that in just a week of job hunting, I already got one. I'll be starting off on the 16th. Wish me the best luck.

Let me cut short this post and start off with a sincere apology for a long delay. This was taken last semester and i just had my time to blog about it. I just couldn't bring myself to blog since I'm so preoccupied with many things concerning my personal life now. Also, this is to extend my gratitude to the people around me for the support and love given to me. I'm just totally blessed.  Thank you!

Back for Black

Nothing compares to my experience of being such a busy bee on the past days. Paper works here and there made me feel like migraine is already my everyday companion. (I hope this one will not look like a technical writing or so. Hahaha!) Due to the fast pace of everything, I really don’t know how to catch-up anymore. Good thing this platform, in a way, is a kind of my stress reliever.
I wore this outfit during the Alternative Class Program in our University-“Throwback Thursday: Defying Gravity”. It was a great Thursday wearing a sort of a laid back ensemble.
©Bjorn Manila

One of the topics which I attended actually during that event was to defy blurry shots on Photography. Again, it was Bjorn's second time here in Naga, not just to capture fashion enthusiasts but also to talk about his profession, Photography.
It was indeed my lucky day. And to share with you the reason, I was featured at SM-Youth #CampusStyle #Fashion Radar! Happy kid here! Hahaha
You may want to visit it here: SM-Youth #CampusStyle #FashionRadar #ADNU

What I'm wearing:

 Top, thrifted

This is actually a dress of some sort, yet I find it too short,so I opted to tuck it in so it would look like an ordinary top. Achieve! Hahaha
I really love this piece for many reasons. Aside from being so affordable, it also has a zipper on its sides so I could wear it either with or without sleeves. Cool right?
 Necklace, Online
Bracelets, SM Accessories (Black), Gift (White); Watch, Casio
 Wedge, Gigil Franco

Thanks Pam for taking my photos! J

That's all for now. Thank you for reading and supportingThe Vogue Tales. 'til my next post, babies!
